a 5-week live e-course for 10-19 year olds

an intro to creative expressive jornaling

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are”

- Carl Jung

In a world that moves faster than ever, many of us have drifted away from the simple but essential act of spending time with ourselves —dreaming, reflecting, and nurturing our creative and critical thinking skills. Introduction to Creative Expression Journaling is an invitation to slow down, turn inward, and reconnect with the parts of us that often get lost in the noise of daily life.

Using watercolour journaling, we’ll explore a fun, yet powerful method for self‑reflection, meditation, and authentic expression. Through guided practices, participants learn how to document what matters to them, uncover personal insights, and strengthen their problem‑solving and critical thinking abilities. Rather than seeking external validation, this process encourages a return to inner wisdom and the discovery of one’s unique gifts—gifts that are often overshadowed by expectations or prescribed identities.

At its heart, this course honors the belief that we are powerful, unique beings and every life holds a story.

course overview

week / module 1

We will discuss the supplies, how to use them, and why we are utilizing watercolor as our medium. The intention of the class is not about artist ability but developing a meditative process through the energetics of watercolor.  We will also be discussing and practicing how to strengthen our awareness, which in turn sparks our interests and the many gifts that source/spirit/universe puts into our path.

what is Creative Expression Journaling

week / module 2

Igniting our Imagination

We’ll discuss imagination, why it is important, and how we can use our journal to strengthen this skill. We’ll find inspiration in nature, everyday things and enjoy some watercolor practice that aids in the creative process.

week / module 3

Creative problem-solving
& critical thinking

We will discuss how you can also use your journaling practice as a problem-solving tool. We’ll learn about Leonardo de Vinci and how he blended art and science, in his own journaling practice. This process helped him promote his own creativity and problem-solving techniques that created many inventions and works of art.

week / module 4

self-exploration & sacred guidance

We’ll discuss the many ways we can explore the world and how we fit in it. We’ll explore how to build a journaling practice to tell your life story, and opening to spiritual, ancestral and cosmic guidance.

week / module 5

The invitation that life offers

We will discuss the concept of conscious openers – The process of expanding your knowledge and experiences. Utilizing the previous classes, we end the course by manifesting and creating a page that invites in something that you want to transpire in your life.

Jennifer Kaye

As a Quantum Wellness and Purpose-Driven Coach, I bring more than two decades of study in positive psychology, personal development, and mindfulness practices to my work with individuals and organizations. My approach blends intuition, education, and lived experience, all of which led me to develop a unique journaling practice designed to help people reconnect with themselves. This reflective process invites self‑exploration, personal ownership, and a deeper understanding of one’s life story.

I am especially passionate about sharing this work with children and young adults. At a time when external influences can easily overshadow inner truth, I believe in giving young people tools to turn inward, appreciate their individuality, and recognize themselves as creative beings with meaningful gifts to offer. Through this practice, they learn to honor their uniqueness, build inner resilience, and cultivate a sense of purpose that can guide them throughout their lives.
